Off Page SEO/Link Building/Backlinks Service

Backlinks are votes of confidence. Your website needs them.

What’s the best source of a link? A website more authoritative and relevant than yours!

Let AIM get you backlinks that move the needle on your rankings and website authority

Off Page SEO also called Link Building or Backlinks is a set of search engine optimization activities that are done outside of your website to increase the internet presence of your website. This helps in improving the search engine’s as well as the user’s perception of a site’s relevance, popularity, authoritativeness and trustworthiness. This is achieved when other reputable, high traffic and high domain authority websites agree to linking to or promoting another website and hence vouching for the quality of content on that other site.

AIM offers well-thought and robust Off-Page SEO strategies that work in tandem with the On-Page SEO strategies to help our clients sustain those top positions in the SERP results and command a high level of trust from both the search engines as well as the users.

Want to know what are some types of Backlinking activities?
01
01
Blog Submission

Blog submission requires writing of relevant, high quality long-form content in the form of a blog and submitting that on reputable blog submission websites. This helps you in improving your search engine rankings as well as drive traffic to your website. A well written informative blog also begins to establish you as a subject matter expert in your niche as you begin to reach a much wider audience. Some blog submission sites include- Medium, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Blogger, Quora, HubPages, Substack.

03
03
Image Submissions

Image submissions attract audience to a website by leaving images to a content. Images are typically saved in JPEG format. They don’t always provide large pieces of information or data organized as a visual but instead more like photos that tell about a brand or website or product/service etc. Examples of sites accepting images is Pinterest, Flickr, Imgur, Instagram.

05
05
Author Bio Links

Author Bios help introduce an author and his work and are found at the end of a blog article post. Author bios often have links to other content or awards that the author has to his credit. Author bio links can help improve SEO rankings by building trust and engagement, gaining backlinks and increasing traffic.

07
07
Article Directory Links

These are links from relevant, well maintained article directories back to a business’s website. At AIM, we do these links very sparingly (if at all) and only with niche directories or very high-quality ones. Many directories can be spammy and Google has been known to devalue those links back in 2012.

09
09
Social Media Profile Links

This involves linking your website to your social media profiles on Facebook, Twitter, InstaGram etc. This is a key part of Off-Page SEO and helps increase outreach within an interested market. Content shared on social media can be discovered long after being published hence also extends the content lifespan.

11
11
PPT/PDF Submissions

There are many very credible websites like Slideshare, SCRIBD, Visual.ly etc that allow content to be shared in the formats of ppt or pdf. Search Engines treat these files similar to pages and so they can carry page authority and hence the backlinks within them can pass link authority.

13
13
PBN Links

Private Blog Network links are links created from a group of private websites to another website with the intention of impacting the receiving website’s rankings. PBNs are considered Back-Hat SEO tactic and is in violation of Google’s guidelines. At AIM, WE DO NOT SUPPORT OR PROVIDE ANY PBN LINKS.

15
15
Blog comments (UGC) links

When users commenting on a blog leave links to another blog or article present on another website and backlink to that website, this is called Blog Comment links. These are normally User Generated. This has been exploited by spammy SEO comments and in the present times may or may not give the expected results. At AIM, we try and stay away from this!

02
02
Infographic Backlinks

A picture speaks a million words. Heard that? Infographic submission is a content marketing technique where images like charts, pictures, graphs designed to explain facts in a visual way and then these are shared across the web to earn backlinks. Some sites that accept these submissions are Visual.ly, Infogram, Slideshare, Flickr, Infographic Bee etc

04
04
Guest Posting

Certain websites allow you to post content as a guest. The guest post, normally a long form content, is written by a guest author and normally introduces the author;s content to a new audience. The idea is to reach out to a wider audience. Guest authors are typically not paid for their work, instead receive a link back to their own website.

06
06
Classified Submissions

In classified submissions, ads are posted on credible, high domain authority websites. These ads include relevant details about the business and links back to the businesses’ website. They improve online traffic, brand awareness etc.

08
08
Social Bookmarking

There are many credible social bookmarking sites like Dribble, We Heard It, FlipBoard that allow a website to save and share their webpages online. Its a way to build your online presence, promote your website, discover new content and help search engines understand your site better.

10
10
PR Links

Press Links or PR links involve using public relations and journalists to earn high quality back links from authoritative publications, magazines, newspapers. These links help your E-A-T score, your website’s credibility and SEO rankings.

12
12
Competitor Broken Links

An interesting off-page SEO activity is to analyse your competitor’s website for any such backlinks that are coming from high domain authority websites but are now broken on your competitor’s website. These are opportunities for SEO because these can be used to build links to your own website! Your competitor’s loss becomes your gain!

14
14
Link Exchange Schemes

This is a practice where two or more websites agree to link to each other and improve each other’s rankings. If done ethically, they can be beneficial. But since there are many Black Hat Link schemes out there Google considers excessive link exchanges to be manipulative. At AIM, we are very careful about this practice and use it very sparingly in genuine scenarios only!

16
16
Buying Backlinks

This is a practice where a website owner is willing to pay to another website to link back to their own website. Google is known to ignore many paid backlinks and considers buying links as a Back-hat SEO activity. AT AIM, WE DO NOT BUY BACKLINKS FOR OUR CLIENTS.

I can't say enough about AIM. I knew nothing about designing or managing my Website and was completely unaware of the work and time that goes into SEO etc. They worked with me from the ground up, are always available and kind and prompt with responses and getting anything, and I mean anything done!  Wonderful to work with and so knowledgeable. I could not be more grateful or happy with their service and their team.

Frequent Questions

What is a backlink?

It is a link from one website to another website. When a website that is lower in domain authority gets a “do-follow” backlink from another website that is higher in domain authority and relevance/traffic etc, then the receiving website benefits by receiving the link juice from the other website and hence improve its domain authority, relevance, traffic, online presence and search rankings.

Why are the different types of backlinks?

There are two main type of backlinks – dofollow and nofollow. Dofollow backlinks allow for the passing of SEO value or link juice from the website that is giving the link to the website that is receiving the link. Nofollow backlinks do not pass any link juice but may still be relevant in providing more visibility to the brand on relevant websites, increasing traffic etc. While dofollow backlinks are very important, a smart SEO strategy will try and strike a natural looking balance between dofollow and nofollow links.

Why are backlinks important?

Multiple studies have now shown that pages with more referring domains get placed higher in SERP, hence get more traffic. If you and competitor both have high quality On-Page SEO, then chances are that the one that has a better web validation through high quality backlinks will get placed higher in search engine rankings because good backlinks improve your website’s domain authority.

What are toxic backlinks or harmful backlinks?

Links acquired from low-quality, irrelevant, spammy websites having a tarnished reputation can be very harmful. Similarly, links acquired from “link farms” or private blog networks or black hat techniques like paid link schemes or automated link building tools are interpreted by search engines as wrongful manipulative techniques to influence rankings and hence these links are called bad links or harmful links or toxic links and penalized by most reputable search engines.

How many backlinks is enough?

There is no minimum or maximum limit to backlinks. Normally, a good SEO specialist will study your industry, your online competitors’ backlink profile and suggest on a robust Off-page SEO/Backlink strategy.

Can I handover my On-Page SEO to one Agency and my Backlink building activity to another Agency?

Well you can do whatever you like but this is not a smart move at all! On-Page SEO and Off-Page SEO strategies are not two stand-alone or independent activities working in their own silo! In fact, if On-Page SEO and backlinking exercise are not in sync then you can hurt your website’s rankings instead of improving them! This is because On-Page SEO is trying to push certain keywords on certain pages, and it is critical that Off-Page SEO/backlinks also push the same pages for the same keywords across the internet! The idea is to build a concerted and harmonized on-page and off-page/backlink SEO strategy that is sending the same message across the internet in a planned manner.

What are “high quality backlinks” in Off-Page SEO strategy?

More important than the number of backlinks is the quality of backlinks. The quality of backlinks is assessed in multiple ways. The backlinks should be coming from relevant and credible websites and not be spammy. Also, for greater SEO value, the website giving the backlink should always have a domain authority higher than that of the website receiving the backlink. This means that the website giving you backlinks is well trusted by search engines and users. The backlink should be coming from content that is high quality, well created and valuable. The link should use relevant keywords in anchor text.

How can I get backlinks from High Authority sites?

Simple, you need to create high quality, compelling and useful content!
